Experience
I have been actively playing piano for 24 years and 8 years of experience with giving private lessons and teaching in private and public schools in Slovenia and The Netherlands. As a soloist with orchestras, I have performed, among others with Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Ljubljana Opera and Ballet Orchestra and Valerius Orchestra, The Hague. I play on numerous recitals in Netherlands, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Spain and Romania, among others with internationally successful musicians, such as Tibor Molnar, Joachim Eijlander, Gilles Apap. I have competed on many competitions – as a chamber musician and a soloist and am prizewinner of Alberto Bertolini piano competition in Milan (2014), Cammeristi dell’ Alpe-Adria in Majano, Italy (2014), International Chamber music competition in Bled, Slovenia (2010) and many others. My career so far has given me a unique perspective on the art of mentoring musicians. I have learned about the importance of the balance between guiding the students and letting them explore; the balance between the rational, explained through analysis of pieces, performance principles, etc. and the intuitive, which is emphatically transmitted through examples; and the balance between physical and spiritual aspects of musicianship.
